Let’s Discuss: How Do You Schedule and Keep Track of Reviews/ARCS?

I’m pretty curious how other bloggers keep track of all their scheduled posts, arcs to be reviewed and other things they want to post on their blog. I used to keep it all tracked in a daily journal and that got to be a hassle. Now I just use a word document that I also saved as a draft in my email so I can change it at work or on the go. I started this type of tracking near the end of March. This is a exact copy of what I have right now:

I’m a bit behind on April and a few reviews from March never got finished so this helps me prioritize what needs to be finished first. I list the book name and the publication date, then I strike it out when it’s written and done. I also jot down what sort of things I want to discuss or do with the post. Example: I’m doing another mood board for The Crown’s Fate since I did one with the first book and it was well received.

Some of these were sent without me requesting them so I’m not obligated to review them but I still try to list everything I have that I didn’t purchase myself.

How do you keep track? Are you the type to draft all your posts then schedule them when finished? Do you wing it most days? I’m really curious how everyone does this because I’m always looking for a better system!

    1. That’s actually a really good idea though! It gives you a visual for whats coming up. I know some other bloggers make schedules and lists for non review posts as well and I’m always so jealous of their organizational skills.

  1. I mostly wing it. I know it’s a flawed system, but I keep track of the publication dates on Netgalley and Edelweiss, and I choose which ARC to read next based on which publication date is the closest. It’s not a foolproof plan by any means and I expect it will one day bite me. I like your list though! That seems a great and easy way of keeping track.

And hey, if it works for you then that’s whats best! 🙂 I tried going based on Netgalley but I don’t visit the site often enough to really keep a good idea of what’s coming up when and would likely miss something. At least with NG you see them based on publication date, using Edelweiss still very much confuses me lol.

  2. I use Goodreads to track what I’ve read and the calendar on my IPAD to track my blog posts. When I’m picking my next book, I always look at the release dates of my ARC’s, and also the return date on my library ebooks. Then I look at my kindle and physical books. I have more trouble picking a book to read than keeping track of what I’ve done for some reason. Lol.

    1. Oh my goodness right? Even with a (sort of) schedule I still have a hard time picking something. Good thinking on using the IPAD! My Kindle Fire has a calendar app, maybe I should look into it.

  3. I mostly wing it. Though I have notes for potential reviews/blogging topics, I don’t really have a system. Then again, I got my first review request a short while ago and I don’t really have ARCs, so I suppose that helps; I can pretty much review anything I like, anytime I like.
