Thank you to the lovely Sophie from Blame Chocolate for tagging me! Isn’t her blog name the cutest? It’s be ages since I’ve done one of these and it was just too fun to pass up.

Reading on the couch or on the bed?

Oh, a fair bit on both actually. Our new couch is this huge plush pillow monster that I adore. So I do a lot of reading when I first get home on that, then when it’s time for bed I go upstairs and read for a bit more then go to bed. So, both.

Male main character or female main character?

I enjoy female characters since it’s easier for me to relate to them or gauge how realistic their character and growth is but I still really enjoy a good male lead.

Sweet snacks or salty snacks?

I don’t eat when I’m reading unless it’s on lunch at work. But if I break for something to munch on its generally sweet or healthy.

Trilogies or quartets?

I really dislike trilogy formats. I feel like then a story is needlessly thinned down to stretch into three books. Whereas if it’s a quartet I feel like the writer just had so much story to tell they wrote more and more and thus the series became longer. Does that even make sense? Probably not.

First person POV or third POV?

Third person is my favorite but I enjoy First person if it’s done well. I don’t like reading “I walked, I said, I thought” over and over on a page.

Reading at night or in the morning?

Always at night. On the drive to work if it’s David’s turn to drive (carpooling for the win) I’ll sneak in a bit if I need to finish a chapter or something but I generally just stare out into the void until we get to work.

Libraries or bookstores?

This is kind of tough. I enjoy libraries but our little towns is so small and lacking that I find it gloomy when I go in. So I’ll go with bookstores.

Books that make you laugh or books that make you cry?

Black book covers or white covers?

What are we talking about? Dust jacket covers or the physical book like a paperback? I don’t care what it is as hard back since I always take them off when reading to preserve them. If it’s a paperback I generally like them light colored.

Character driven or plot driven?

Hmmm. A good story can be driven by just a single well written character (or characters) but the same can be said about plot. But, I don’t like it when the plot is amazing but the character is such a bore I can’t get into the book. So character driven?
